THE K-PROBE® ANALYTICAL PLATFORM

XPolar® measurements are performed using the K-Probe® system, an instrument developed by Kamax for the quantitative analysis of biological fibres.
The K-Probe® integrates :

  • controlled polarised illumination
  • a high-resolution optical imaging system
  • proprietary analysis algorithms
This architecture enables the extraction of quantitative structural parameters describing the internal organisation of fibres.

POLARIMETRIC MEASUREMENTS AND FIBRE MAPPING

XPolar® technology enables the generation of polarimetric maps of the analysed structures.
The resulting images reveal:

  • fibre orientation
  • their structural organisation
  • the alterations induced by various factors
These analyses provide quantitative indicators of the structural state of the fibres.
